The official synopsis for "Castle" Season 8, Episode 12 has been released by ABC and it looks like Kate Beckett might have to save Rick Castle from a possible murder.

Episode 12 is entitled "The Blame Game" and the official synopsis for the episode is below (via Spoiler TV):

"The Blame Game" - Castle is captured and forced to work with strangers to solve deranged puzzles and mind games, while Beckett and the 12th Precinct must race against time to rescue Castle and catch a killer."

According to Fashion & Style, the promotional pictures for the episode hint that Beckett will be able to rescue Castle but they will be trapped. It might force them to confront the killer so they can escape.

In episode 11, the son of a Russian diplomat was murdered and Beckett and Castle are involved in solving the crime, TV Fanatic reports.

Grigory, an English as Second Language (ESL) student, had his throat slashed the minute he opens the locked door. In trying to find out the details of the murder, Beckett goes to see the victim's father who is coincidentally an important Russian official. She questions what his son was doing in an abandoned building to which the official says that his son hasn't been the same since his wife passed away in a car accident. The boy had been hanging around with new people around New York City.

In the precinct, Javier Esposito and Kevin Ryan interrogate a prime suspect by the name of Uri. Castle meets Vasili, the jovial Russian security officer who helps in letting him talk by telling him about "Russian justice" where Uri may end up on a beach without his feet. Uri talks and told them he was the one that dropped of Grigory at the abandoned building.

It was revealed that Grigory was investigating his mother's death after he had suspicions that her death wasn't accidental. However, after much digging by Beckett, they found out that Grigory's mother was actually a Russian spy and Vasili is actually a dangerous man to be trifled with.

Castle is put in danger as Vasili takes him to a warehouse with a kidnapped man. Castle begs for the man's life by telling the man what Vasili wants to know but he did not relent. After prodding the man's pockets, it was revealed that the man was a fake ID maker to get someone into a Russian party.

Beckett asked Vasili to get them in the party but Sergei gets shot. She calls Rita and finds out that she is Castle's step mother.

Meanwhile, Ryan finds out that Grigory's mother, Anya is alive and Beckett tells her and Frank that they are responsible for their son's death. Anya claims that her husband was a traitor but knows a lot of people so she staged her own death. Sergei is, actually, not the biological father of Grigory as well and revealed that the party was her last chance to kill him.

Beckett bids Sergei farewell as he gets ready to leave the country but gives a message to his wife. Vasili was there and planned to give them Russian justice.

"Castle" season 8 airs every Monday at 10 P.M. on ABC.
