'The Good Wife' Season 7 Episode 15 Spoilers: Alicia Takes a High Profile Government Case While the FBI Investigates Peter in 'Targets'
In the previous episode of “The Good Wife,” titled “Monday,” Alicia (Julianna Margulies) struggled when she went back to work at Lockhart, Agos and Lee. The past case involving a new computer became a source of conflict among members of the firm. Alicia and Lucca (Cash Jumbo) scored a win for the firm.
Peter Targeted by the FBI
In season 7, episode 15, titled “Target,” Peter Florrick (Chris Noth), the estranged husband of Alicia, will be the focus of the FBI. Although it is still uncertain why the agency is interested in getting details about him, the case appears to be serious.
Peter will soon be trapped without any options. It became known that the FBI was after Peter when an agent was spotted talking to Marissa (Sarah Steele), Eli’s (Alan Cumming) daughter. Eli thought that Peter was the real target and that the agent was acquiring information from people surrounding the man.
In the upcoming episode, it also appears that the speculations about Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale) are actually true. She previously said that Peter Florrick’s loss in Iowa may have consequences in his life. Ruth also advised Alicia to leave Peter while she has the time, since he will surely bring her down with him in the near future.
Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) was tasked by Eli Gold to get details on Peter and the FBI agent. Eli wants to know the reason why the agency is targeting Alicia’s husband and is looking for options in case the latter gets embroiled in a difficult and dangerous situation.
Peter might also be at risk, although the investigation by Elsbeth may actually save him from any potential danger. There are reports that Matthew Morrison will guest star as U.S. lawyer Connor Fox, who is also watching Peter closely.
A New Government Case
“Alicia joins a secret panel of attorneys advising the U.S. government on a controversial case in 'The Good Wife' Season 7 Episode 15 'Targets' airing next week on CBS,” the episode synopsis stated. It will be a big advance in her professional life, since Diane (Christine Baranski) will no longer make things hard for her. Previously, Alicia was also reminded that she should not pick the cases to work on because she works for the firm.
“The Good Wife” is currently in its seventh and final season. The next episode will air on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 on CBS.
