It's a great time to be Eva Longoria.

"I've always known that I'd love my 40s," the "Telenovela" star recently revealed. "I always say I want my 40-year-old mind with my 20-year-old body. That would be perfect!"

The "Desperate Housewives" alum, who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Jose "Pepe" Baston, credits her parents for her ability to age gracefully.

"Genetics has a lot to do with it," she said as she shared other beauty and workout tips. "My dad barely has any wrinkles. But I got my gray hair from my mom. So I'm grateful to L'Oreal to cover it, she added of the company she's served as an ambassador for over the last two years.

Longoria Shines on Red Carpet

Longoria and Baston recently walked the red carpet together for the first time since announcing their engagement, and they looked the picture of contentment at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Longoria rocked an embellished, green Julien Macdonald gown that featured a plunging neckline and open back.

The couple announced their plans to tie the knot after he popped the question by presenting her with a ruby-and-diamond ring around Christmastime during a romantic trip to Dubai.

"He's amazing, he's gorgeous and really the kindest human being I've ever met," she raved of her soon to be husband. "He is probably one of the first men I've dated that has been older and established and, basically, a grownup," she added. "It is so nice to be arm-in-arm with someone who is your equal."

The 41-year-old star was previously married to actor Tyler Christopher and NBA star Tony Parker.

Longoria Talks Politics

Through it all, Longoria has still found time to make her voice heard on matters she feels are important to Latinos. Besides endorsing Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton for president, she recently warned Republican front-runner Donald Trump he should expect a backlash given the views he has expressed on immigration.

"What I don't think he understands and what people don't understand is words create emotional poison," she said. "That's what they do, they create emotional poison."
