The Samsung Galaxy S5 may be released in the U.S. and Europe earlier than expected since there are reports that the premium phone could drop as early as next month.

The S5 will include a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and the latest version of Google's mobile software, which is called Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

In addition to the Galaxy S5, there are rumors that Samsung will also launch two sidekicks to the S5, called the Mini and the Zoom. On Tuesday, GSMPedia reported that the Mini will feature lower specs from the S5, including a 4.5-inch 326 PPI display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.6GHz processor, and an 8-megapixel camera.

Plus, there is speculation that the Mini will be water resistant. This is a huge selling point being that Samsung has only included water resistance on its Active line of smartphones, rather than on its flagship phone, in the past. Now, both the S5 and the S5 Mini may be water resistant.

Unlike the S5, the S5 Mini will not include fingerprint scanner and the heart rate monitor features. However, the fingerprint scanner has been described as "more like a marketing gimmick than a legitimate feature," BGR Media reported.

According to South Korean news outlet Asia Today, when the premium Galaxy S5 comes out in June, it will focus on European and American markets. The Galaxy S5 Prime will have an extremely high-resolution, 1440x2560 pixel screen, which is a step up from 1080x1920 pixels. Plus, it will include tiny pixels that are unrecognizable to the naked eye, according to the Australian Financial Review. Furthermore, its high speed processor will come in the form of an octa-core Exynos 5430 processor that runs at 2.1GHz, according to reports.
