With UFC 196 barely a week away, there are people who are now revealing who they are picking between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. For an underdog, odds have been either evened out or titled in McGregor’s favor.

The Irishman was originally scheduled to face UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, but the Brazilian champion was forced to pull out due to a broken foot via, MMA Fighting reports. While the UFC had a lot of willing fighters to step up, Dana White opted to go with Nate Diaz instead.

It seems the animosity between Diaz and McGregor was one of the reasons behind the selection, something that the American mixed martial artist hinted when he called out the Irisman previously via Fox Sports.

The two already met in a very colorful press conference and the showdown promises to carry a lot of fireworks this March 5 as reported by Yahoo! Sports.

McGregor showed up bigger and brash as always but Diaz was someone who would not go down quietly. In fact, he had his share of expletives hurled at McGregor which "The Notorious" was obviously willing to engage in.

The actual fight will be different, of course, and some folks have already voiced out their predictions. That includes boxer Andre Berto, the same and alleged last guy who Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought back in September 2015.

TMZ recently crossed paths with Berto and a question thrown at the 32-year-old boxer was who he was siding with this coming weekend. Berto bares that he is picking McGregor to win that face-off, confident that the Irishman will overwhelm the 30-year-old American mixed martial artist.

"Conor's my boy, man. I think he's going to take it,” says Berto.

With his pick sealed, Berto was further asked on how long the fight would last. The boxer predicted the card to go no farther than the second round.

Berto believes that a two week notice is simply not enough to get Diaz prepared for someone as dangerous as McGregor. The American-Haitian boxer is, however, expecting an epic clash as reported by The Mirror.

Aside from that, there is the issue of the surprise size that McGregor carried during the press conference.

McGregor was noticeably bigger compared to his previous fights and such has led Diaz to speculate that the Irishman could be on steroids via MMA Fighting.

Diaz claims were eventually backed up by his coach, Richard Perez, while talking to on Submission Radio, obviously surprised at the fast rate that McGregor was able to bulk up.
