Kentucky Derby 2014: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Preview, Betting Odds, Post Times and More
It's that time again. One of the most popular (and potentially most profitable) sporting events in the country is taking place this Saturday, and I'm not talking about the Superbowl or the NCAA Tournament.
Churchill Downs will host the 2014 Kentucky Derby on May 3, continuing an annual tradition 140 years in the making. Millions of spectators across the country will watch and wager on the most anticipated horse race of the year, hoping their bet will be the one to take the coveted crown.
While the Kentucky Derby itself will only last little more than two minutes, the event will span the entire day with thirteen races in total. The race starts at 10:30 a.m. with the big one scheduled for 6:24 p.m.
For those not lucky (or wealthy) enough to be in attendance, NBC has got you covered. You can catch the first stages of the event on NBC Sports from noon to 4 p.m., and the rest on NBC proper from 4-7 p.m. If that's not satisfying enough for you, then you can turn back to NBC Sports at 7 p.m. for a post race analysis.
Those who want to catch the race online can head to NBCSports.com for a live stream of the Derby.
If you're thinking about possible putting some money down on a horse, than you're going to want to check out the odds below. (You can also check out this article the Washington Post to learn all you need to know about betting).
