More WWE personalities will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016 on April 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. It will be held a day before WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas.
The initial list of inductees include Sting (Steve Borden), “The Fabulous Freebirds," Stan Hansen and John Bradshaw Layfield. Now, two more names have been added to the list.
The latest additions are Jacqueline Moore and the late Ray Traylor Jr., who is better known as the “Big Boss Man."
Miss Texas Stands as Lone Female in WWE HOF Class of 2016
Jacqueline was formerly Miss Texas and word about her inclusion had been in the rumor mill for several weeks now.
Moore was originally set to debut in the WWF back in 1993 but an injury prevented her from doing so. Her official debut came in 1998 when she appeared as the on-screen girlfriend of Marc Mero and feuded with Sable. She was last seen in the WWF/E in 2004.
Actual Prison Guard Gets Recognition
For WWE fans who have been around, the “Big Boss Man” is someone pretty familiar. From being an actual prison guard at Cobb County, Georgia, Traylor’s gamble paid off handsomely.
His rise to stardom was made possible when the late Dusty Rhodes took him in and molded him into a wrestler. WWE chairman Vince McMahon took notice and it was here were the “Big Boss Man” was born.
Traylor rose to new heights, getting involved in major feuds that included Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage in the early stages of his WWF/E career.
The Twin Towers
Prior to his singles debut, Traylor teamed up with “Akeem” under the tutelage of “Slick” to form the “Twin Towers," venturing out in tag-team matches where they faced the likes of “Mega Powers," “Demolition” and “The Rockers."
Traylor had a good run but left the WWF/E scene for a while in 1993 due to lack of creative storylines on his end. He brought his act to other circuits but under a different screen name due to WWE copyrights on the “Big Boss Man” name.
The “Big Boss Man” returned to the WWE five years later in 1998, donning a SWAT team attire and serving as McMahon’s bodyguard. He stayed on with the company until he was released in 2003.
A year later, Traylor died of a heart attack at his home in Dallas. He was only 41 years old.
