Breaking News: SWAT Members on the Scene After Dayton VA Medical Center Shooting in Ohio
UPDATE: According to police reports, the suspect is now in custody.
FOX 45 Now reports that the assailant was first driven from his sister's residence in Dayton to Good Samaritan Hospital. By at least 1:25 p.m., he was being taken to Montgomery County Jail.
"UPDATE on the former active shooter at Dayton VA Med Center. Suspect in custody; 1 injured, non-life threatening, in ER being treated," City of Dayton, Ohio confirmed via Twitter.
According to USA Today, a police officer said that the suspect "came in looking for someone else to do harm to, didn't find him and fired at this guy." The newspaper also reports that the suspect fled in a GM Truck with "disabled vet" tags, contrary to previous reports of the alleged shooter owning a gray Chevrolet Silverado. The weapon in question was found in the truck, which was parked outside of his sister's residence, according to officers.
"Police continue to secure VA campus building and de-escalate the scene," the police report states.
The police report adds that two SWAT teams checked each room in the Dayton VA Center's building.

Reports say that there has been a shooting at the Dayton VA Center in Ohio.
According to WDTN, medics are stationed in the area. Information about any possible injuries has yet to be revealed. Dayton and Montgomery County SWAT members have arrived at the scene as well.
As of now, some of the buildings at the Dayton VA Center are being evacuated. Others have been locked down and quarantined.
Fox 45 reports that a police scanner described the shooter as a black male. He was reportedly wearing a black jacket with the U.S. Marine Corps emblem and drives a gray Chevrolet Silverado.
The search is on for the assailant, who reportedly brandished a revolver. According to Fox 45, "vehicles are still driving into and out of the VA campus."
The Dayton VA Center's Facebook page says they are currently not taking appointments as of about 30 minutes ago.
