"Orange Is the New Black" star Laura Prepon has been granted her wish. It was only a few weeks ago that Prepon revealed her desire to return full time to the Netflix series if it was renewed for a third season, and thanks to the powers that be, that wish will now become a reality.

On Monday, Prepon tweeted, "It's official!! Season 3! #oitnb #alexvause #backtothebighouse." The "OITNB" actress' excited tweet was accompanied with an Instagram photo link that included possible titles for the upcoming season.

News of the "OITNB" season three renewal comes just a month before the official release date of the show's second season. Similar to the first season, Netflix will release all 13 episodes of the second season at once on June 6.

Though fans will just have to cope with seeing Prepon's character Alex Vause in only four episodes in season two, they can definitely look forward to seeing more of Vause in season three for sure.

Last month, Prepon explained the reasoning behind her brief appearance in "OINTB" season two to The Daily Beast.

"Basically, I wasn't a series regular and wasn't under contract, and then had a scheduling conflict that came up during season two. A lot of our jobs is about timing. ... When you're not under a "series regular" contract and other jobs come up, you try to juggle everything. But I love the show, and I love my character, and I told Jenji from the get-go, 'I want to be in as many as I can.' So we did, and I'll be in four episodes for Season 2," she said.

Now with the overwhelming success of the online series, it seems that production is moving a bit faster with the development of Season 3 in order to give fans more of what they want.

According to the LA Times, production has already started on Season 3, so hopefully that means less of a gap in between seasons.

Last year's "OITNB" season one premiered on July 11, and the second season comes almost a year after the first. Talk about a major gap.

Here's a tip to Jenji Kohan and the rest of the "OITNB" crew: less waiting, more "OITNB."
