Robert Downey Jr.'s Long Lost Twin Found Finally. He's Also an Engineer Working in Mexico
A Mexican man has gotten famous over his undeniably similar appearance to American actor Robert Downey Jr. The comparison has led to viral fame and a gig impersonating Iron Man at cosplay festivals.
Known as the "Mexican Iron Man," Braulio Ledezma works as an engineer at Pemex, a Mexican national gas company. His life changed after it became apparent that he and Downey Jr. could be twins.
According to Publimetro, Ledezma first realized of his similarities to the "Avengers" star after his nephews went to see the first Iron Man film in 2008 and told him he looked like Downey Jr.
Since then, people have approached Ledezma to take photos with him and compliment his hair and facial hair, which are identical to Downey Jr.'s. He also has revealed that he gets requests to attend kids birthday parties.
Ledezma, who is an aspiring singer, has used the viral fame to his advantage and is using the opportunity to become a Downey Jr. and Iron Man impersonator. He attends events dressed as the character from the films and even had an Iron Man suit made.
The impersonator has attended cosplay festivals around Latin America, including Colombia, Venezuela and Chile.
Images of Ledezma hit the web and became memes. Videos of him singing have also made the rounds on social media.
