Wednesday's all-new episode of "Arrow" will be intense as Deathstoke's Mirakuru army will attack Starling City, Thea Queen comes face-to-face with Malcom Merlyn and Laurel steps up to plate in the absence of her sister Sara, The Canary, from Team Arrow.

In the last episode of "Arrow," Thea tried to leave town after discovering that her family lied to her about biological father, who is really villain Malcom Merlyn. However, as she was making her escape, war erupted in the city, and she found herself trapped in a train station and surrounded by chaos. In addition, Isabel Rochv attacked Diggle after Slade injected with Mirakuru, Hypable.com reported.

Deathstroke's war against Starling City and the Green Arrow will intensify in the upcoming episode, which is entitled "Streets of Fire." Not only will the remnants of Team Arrow try to stop the Mirakuru thugs, but a promotional photo reveals that Laurel may also get in on the action, using a bow as a weapon, ScreenCrush.com reported.

Malcolm Merlyn will also return to Starling City for the final episodes of Season 2 and come face-to-face with his secret daughter Thea. At a press screening, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg hinted about how Malcolm and Thea will interact once they meet. "All hell is going to break loose in the city, and Thea will find herself in a precarious predicament -- and Thea is going to be saved by her father," Kreisberg said to Internation Business Times. "He is going to offer her what she doesn't have anymore."

Kreisberg also explained why Moira Queen was killed off the show this season and how that impacts the storyline between Thea and Malcolm.

"That was part of our math with killing Moira. If we were going to send Thea in that direction, there couldn't be anything that was pulling her back here. Now she has a brother who lied to her and has done something unforgivable and no mother. On the flipside, she has Malcolm Merlyn saying, 'I will never lie to you, Thea.'"

Because Thea loss of Roy, her Queen family ties and her money, she may turn to the only person she thinks she has left, her father. It is also likely that she will find out in the next couple of episodes that her brother is the Arrow, ComicBook.com said

"Secrets are a tough thing, and one of the most interesting thing about writing this show is when are secrets good and when are secrets bad?" Kreisberg said. "Even for Oliver, he [hadn't] told Laurel [that he is the Arrow] -- and it's because he had an idea in his head that she shouldn't know. And I think you guys will all see he was wrong and he's going to find out that he was wrong not to tell her because she could handle it -- but yet, there was no reason for Thea to ever know that Malcolm was her dad. It's a complicated thing and we love that we have a superhero show where the heroes are doing the wrong thing a lot of the time and making bad decisions, even with the best of intentions."

The CW issued a press release with the official synopsis of the penultimate season 2 installment:

"Oliver (Stephen Amell) rallies his team as Slade's (Manu Bennett) soldiers attack the city. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets a call from S.T.A.R. Labs with game-changing news and Thea (Willa Holland) comes face-to-face with her father - Malcolm Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman)."

"Arrow" S2E22, "Streets of Fire," airs Wednesday, May 7, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
