Despite rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were married in a secret ceremony in California, the reality star confirmed that she is still a bride-to-be.

Earlier this week, the New York Daily News and other media outlets reported that the 33-year-old reality star and the hip hop superstar obtained their marriage license in Los Angeles and tied the knot over the weekend.

However, on Monday, the new mother told Vogue that she has not officially become Mrs. Kanye West after being asked if she should be called "Mrs. West or just Kim still" on the red carpet at the Met Gala. Kardashian responded saying, "Still Kim, Mrs. West soon!"

She added that she has tried on "quite a few wedding dresses" and has "narrowed it down" to at least a few options.

According to People magazine, West and Kardashian are expected to marry on May 24 at France's opulent Chateâu Louis XIV.

The power couple became engaged in October 2013 when West popped the question on Kardashian's birthday at San Francisco's AT&T Park. Last June, they had their first child, a daughter named North West.

Last week, Kim Kardashian shared a #ThrowbackThursday picture of one of the best days in her life and a pivotal moment in her career. The photo was taken on the day that she found out that she would get the chance to grace the cover of Vogue magazine.

In the picture, she is talking with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour who broke the big cover news to Kardashian and her fiancé Kanye West during their meeting. Also featured in the picture is Kardashian's then 10-month-old daughter North West, who seems to be more preoccupied with her dad who is taking the picture.

She captioned the photo writing: "TBT when Anna met North! Oh and told us about our Vogue shoot!" Kim wrote as a caption last week, adding: #BestDayEver #Vogue #NorthOnlyPayingAttentionToHerDaddyTakingThePic.

Critics slammed Wintour for featuring Kim K. on the cover of fashion's most elite magazine. In response, the fashion maven explained why she chose to give them the cover and dispelled rumors that she caved in to Kanye's pressure.

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it," Wintour said.

"I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T."
