WWE WrestleMania 32 Could Paint Roman Reigns as the Bad Guy
The WWE has so far seen the return of Roman Reigns though there are some changes worth noting. With the Big Dog expected to come out the eventual winner at WrestleMania 32 despite the objection of fans, one can sense the slight changes in the former Shield member’s character.
The Changes
Since his return last week, Reigns has been on the offensive. His decimation of Triple H last week was something that hardly surprised though it may be planting the seeds of change moving forward.
His character somehow carries a different kind of impression, more noticeable compared to the quiet assassin that he has been well known for. He seems sharper (with reference to the quick reflexes he had when Stephanie McMahon tried to slap him again at WWE Raw – March 21) so could there be more changes to follow?
Also, Reigns is now en route to the ring via the ramp and no longer in the crowds. Is this some sort of preventive measure or part of the ‘new’ Roman Reigns?
No Hiding for Triple H
Triple H has taken the safe route to avoid any more damage at the hands of the Big Dog when he was not seen at the March 21 edition of WWE Raw.
After that beating he got last week which saw him get busted open and requiring stitches, it may have been a wise move until Reigns spotted him.
Reigns stopped Triple H’s vehicle before exiting and forcibly pulled the WWE COO to hand yet another beating. Trips escaped but with about a week to go, there could be more to come.
The Monster Is a Heel?
Reigns actions are obviously a result of “The Authority’s” doing but the more pressing question is what happens after WrestleMania 32?
Win or lose, one has that feeling that Reigns will be carrying a different persona moving forward. Could this be the much awaited heel-turn?
Critics feel that for Reigns to evolve, he must take the dark side a little bit in the same way that Stone Cold Steve Austin and Seth Rollins did.
Austin started out as a heel but at some point managed to win the adoration of the fans. Reigns has obviously bombed out as a hero-first wrestler so a different approach could be needed soon.
But against a perennial heel like Triple H, that is unlikely to happen until Wrestlemania 32. If Reigns will indeed turn heel, the best chances of that happening is likely after the WWE extravaganza which takes place April 3 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
