Real Madrid and Barcelona face off in the biggest soccer match of the year. The game which kicks off at 2:30 PM EST on April 2, 2016 at the Camp Nou in Barcelona is filled with a plethora of storylines that have fans salivating over "El Clasico" that promises to deliver.

Messi vs Ronaldo

First on the list is the endless Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Lionel Messi debate. The two rivals have been rounding into top form in recent weeks with the Portuguese giant looking especially dangerous for his national side during the recent international break. Messi meanwhile has been a tremendous difference maker on Barcelona's current unbeaten run.

Pichichi Race

The other big story regards the Pichichi race which Ronaldo currently leads with 28 goals. However, Luis Suarez of Barcelona is just two behind with 26 goals and could run away with the competition if he puts in a solid shift on Saturday. Messi and his 22 goals are also within striking distance if he can put in a strong game.

Revenge on 4-0 blowout last fall

The bigger story of course comes down to one word - Revenge.

Barcelona embarrassed Real Madrid 4-0 in the first Clasico this season at the Santiago Bernabeu. Madrid was outclassed in every way possible during that matched, leading to the eventual demise of then-coach Rafa Benitez. Madrid is virtually out of the La Liga title race at this point in time, but a win over Blaugrana in Barcelona would be a good way to get the team regaining its confidence against its biggest rival.
