Emily successfully executed the first stage of her ultimate revenge plan on the latest episode of "Revenge."

In "Impetus," it's revealed that Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) was actually abducted by Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Aiden (Barry Sloane). They hatch a plan to force Conrad (Henry Czerny) to call a press conference at which he and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) will admit to their roles in the crash of Flight 197, as well as for framing David, in order to get Charlotte back.

Emily then shows Charlotte news footage of home movies with Amanda and Declan, and she starts having a panic attack. Emily is forced to run to the drug store to get her something to calm her down.

Meanwhile, Victoria is at the playground, watching Carl. He gets hurt, so she takes some of his blood to get a DNA sample.

Once she's back at Grayson Manor, Conrad shows Victoria the ear he was sent by Charlotte's kidnappers, which Emily and Aiden sent to scare Conrad. Victoria runs a test on the ear, and finds that it's not Charlotte's. After she's convinced that her daughter won't be harmed, she pulls out of the scheduled press conference, even though the news vans are already parked at the manor.

Meanwhile, just as Emily is about to leave the drugstore, she's hauled into a car by a detective. She finds out that a surveillance camera caught a rear view of her leaving the rooftop the night Pascal was killed. Daniel (Joshua Bowman) tipped off authorities that it was Emily in the video, in an effort to bust both her and his father.

Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Aiden are able to set Emily free from the authorities. While that's happening, Jack (Nick Wechsler) is alone with his ex, Charlotte, and decides to set her free.

Charlotte goes back to Grayson Manor and accuses Conrad of everything. He doesn't deny it, but calls her an "ungrateful bastard," and threatens to eliminate her. Little does he know that Charlotte is wearing a transmitter, and broadcasts his rant on live television.

Conrad then sees himself on screen, and knows he's busted. The police arrive, and Conrad is dragged off to prison, to Victoria's delight.

It's then clear that Jack released Charlotte on Aiden's orders to facilitate the plan, not to ruin it.

Jack goes to Emily's, and sees her having an intimate moment with Aiden. He asks for a momnet alone with her, and tells her about the D.C. ring he found in Kurt's cabin. She confirms that it's David's ring.

In the end, Emily tells Conrad that she's also going to take down Victoria.

Meanwhile, it's revealed that Victoria has intel that Carl's mother was not the real Amanda... but she knows who is.

On the next episode, "Execution," which is the season finale, "Emily goes all in on her mission to avenge her father on the season finale. Nothing is off limits as Emily and Victoria are dead set on destroying each other. Lives will be lost and fates will be altered, but who will rise victorious?"
