Fatima Ptacek, a.k.a "Dora The Explorer," got caught giving vaping a try in school and social media is having a blast with the news.

Ptacek has been voicing the role of the popular Nickelodeon character since 2011 and has kept her public image pretty clean. However, that ended on April 11 when news broke that the teen was caught using a vapor pen to inhale flavored water in the school's bathroom last year in December, reported The Associated Press.

The actress attends Avenues: The World School in New York City and is mentioned in a lawsuit filed against the school by another student's parents.

The lawsuit, filed by Nadia Leonelli and Fredrik Sundwall, claims that while their daughter was expelled from the school, Ptacek was only suspended for three days and they believe she got special treatment because of her celebrity status.

"The fact that F.P. is a known actress for being the voice of Dora Explorer may have played a role in why she was ultimately not expelled even after the school threatened as much, and M.S. was expelled instead as a scapegoat," the lawsuit reportedly states.

Social media has taken the news and reacted as it usually does, with plenty of humor. Several Twitter and Instagram users have made Dora-related punchlines about the controversy with tweets, photos and edits.
