Tributes Continue to Pour in Dragon
The 57-year-old legend died last week after he was found unresponsive in his Paisley Park mansion. Since then, tributes have poured in from all fronts for the soulful singer.
As for the 58-year-old Sheila E., a source told Radar Online the "Glamorous Life" singer "wants to protect his legacy at all cost."
While family members are reported to be hesitant to the idea, the source added "Prince's friends are lobbying hard for Sheila to be in control."
Presently, a court has granted Prince's sister Tyka Nelson the right to serve as executor of his estate after it was established he had not left a will. His estate also includes an invaluable catalog of all his works.
"There's complete and utter chaos because Tyka isn't well versed in managing anything like this," a source added. "But the other half siblings are even less equipped to deal with it."
The source added Sheila E.'s offer isn't seen as a power-grab or an attempt to get her hands on his fortune and she has even offered to serve at no charge.
