Jada Pinkett-Smith has broke her silence about the controversy surrounding her 13-year-old daughter Willow who posed in a picture that shows her lying in bed with a shirtless 20-year-old actor.

Earlier this week, former "Hanna Montana" star Moisés Arias caused a public outcry when he shared a black-and-white photo of himself with the "Whip My Hair" singer on his Instagram page. In the shot, Willow is seen lying on bed while fully clothed with while Arias is sitting behind her with his shirt off. The picture has since been removed in midst of public backlash, according to the New York Post's Page Six.

While neither Arias, Willow or her famous father Will Smith have commented on the photo, Pinkett-Smith didn't bite her tongue when asked what she thought about the backlash while she was walking through the Los Angeles International airport on Wednesday evening.

"Here's the deal: there was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation," the actress said, according to Us Weekly. "You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you're acting like covert pedophiles, and that's not cool."

TMZ also asked the mother if she would allow her daughter to continue to take similar pictures, but she declined to comment.

While the nature of the photograph and the person who snapped the pic are not clear, many people have been weighing in on the pic in social media.

"Sure looks like it is time to reel Willow Smith in," one tweeted, reports Fox News. Others found the photo disturbing being that the young teen was hanging in a bed with a "half naked adult."

Early last year, Arias directed a music video for Willow's older brother Jaden's single "Hello." Since then, Smith and Arias have been spotted hanging out together on several occasions.
