The WWE finished its latest "SmackDown" tapings in Des Moines, but the action apparently also took place in Florida where Adam Rose was arrested.
Rose Arrested
Rose, who has been serving a 60-day suspension due to WWE drug policy, although he insists it was his ADHD prescription, was arrested by Hillsborough County officers and reportedly charged with a misdemeanor domestic battery and felony tampering with a witness. Rose allegedly had an incident involving his wife, which led to her calling law enforcement. The WWE has yet to comment on his arrest.
"SmackDown" Goes On
Back in Des Moines on Tuesday night, Dean Ambrose opened the show and spoke about Chris Jericho, Mitch the Potted Plant and the $15,000 light-up jacket. Jericho comes in to attack Ambrose. Ambrose tried to fight back but Jericho had the upper hand in this segment.
RuRu in Action
Backstage, Rusev, the No. 1 contender for the WWE United States Championship, spoke about his loss against Sin Cara at "Monday Night Raw." In ring, Rusev and Sin Cara competed in another match. Rusev won this time, while United States Champion Kalisto was at commentary. Rusev would go on to strike Kalisto after the match.
Dana Brooke's In-ring Debut
During the last "Monday Night Raw," Becky Lynch was interviewed until Emma interrupted and introduced NXT star Dana Brooke to the main roster. Now on "SmackDown," Brooke competed in her first main roster match against Lynch. Brooke won following interference from Emma.
Tag-Team Feuds
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day were next, but the trio were interrupted by No. 1 contenders The Vaudevillains, which led to the next singles match. Aiden English defeated Kofi Kingston as a result of Simon Gotch's involvement.
Next, The Usos defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson by disqualification when Anderson used a steel chair onto an Uso. During the show, AJ Styles and Roman Reigns were shown to commit to not get involved in the tag match unless either one of them did get involved.
In more tag-team action, Tyler Breeze and R-Truth defeated Fandango and Goldust. The match saw Breeze betray Truth and Fandango attacking Goldust, which allowed Breeze to pin Goldust.
Finally the main event, which was another tag match, Cesaro and Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens and WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz ended with the latter win victorious but saw each one of them delivering their own finishing moves on another. The show ended with The Miz standing tall.
