Talk about breaking the ice.

During a recent trip to Asia that could hold historical implications, President Obama fielded a late question from a young female at a town-hall gathering that ended with him breaking out in his nest beat-box impersonation.

The female inquisitor turned out to be none other than Suboi, otherwise known as Vietnam's "Queen of Hip Hop," and she proved more than willing to honor the president's request to spit a few bars.

As a crowd of more than 800 eagerly awaited her every word, Suboi spit a few bars in her native tongue.

Obama Sings the Praises of the Arts

In time, the president went on to answer her question about the importance of the arts in a democratic society, but not before showing off his own skills.

Suboi later shared with the president the lyrics she uttered were about people with money and big houses, but not much happiness.

Part of the president's reason for being in Asia was to try to quell rising tensions between the U.S. and allies in Asia and Beijing over the South Sea China.

"Big nations should not bully smaller ones," the president told a Vietnamese audience. "Disputes should be resolved peacefully."

Since 2013, the Chinese government has added more than 3,200 acres of land to the island and spent tons of money in rebuilding it with such amenities as runaways, tennis courts and military capability.

Vietnam Arms Embargo Recently Lifted

The president recently announced plans to lift a four decades long arms embargo on Vietnam and during his trip announced a new arms deal with the country's government.

As a consequence, the U.S. has increased patrols in and over the sea, some of them strategically sailing close to the Chinese island.
