A video of a mother punishing her daughter has gone viral and has sparked a debate about the difference between discipline and abuse.

After learning that her daughter was guilty of bullying another girl, who suffers from cancer, the unidentified woman decided to teach her daughter a lesson and shaved her head.

On the comments on Facebook, some people praised the mother for the punishment, particularly one that would force her child to understand what it's like to lose something like your hair, which chemotherapy causes.

Others argued that the punishment went too far and that humiliating the girl was a form of bullying in itself and considered it child abuse.
