The Friday, July 8 Mega Millions jackpot has soared to at least $540 million with a cash option, lump sum payment of $380 million available to a single game winner. Make sure to return to this page at 11:00 a.m. as we will be publishing the winning numbers in real time.
There were no winners in the July 5 game rolling the then $449 million jackpot over into Friday's game. It's possible that July 8 jackpot could grow even higher based on the increased number of players rushing to purchase tickets in the final hours leading up to the drawing.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; the Mega ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 259 million.

The winning numbers in the July 5 game were 29 46 53 64 and 73. The winning Gold Mega Ball number was 10 and the Megaplier was 5.
Seven Players win $1 Million
In all, seven players matched all five white balls to walk away with prizes of $1 million. The winning tickets were sold in California Florida New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma Pennsylvania and Texas.
It's now been more than four months since anyone claimed the Mega Millions jackpot, rolling the game's grand prize to its third largest in history.
Mega Millions is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $1 each.
Powerball Nears $300 Million
Meanwhile, the next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday night, July 6, with an estimated jackpot of $288 million and a cash option of $201.4 million.
