'Chicago P.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Voight's Rage, Burgess Moves on, Lindsay and Halstead Move in Together [PHOTO]
“Chicago P.D.” returns to NBC in the fall with new updates on Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) following the death of his son in the Season 3 finale.
Showrunner Matt Olmstead tells TVLine that not only will Voight go back to his old self, we will see an entirely different side to him.
“He goes from short fuse to no fuse,” Olmstead teases. “It’s not like he’s in self-destruct mode. [His mindset is], ‘My right and wrongs are that much more cut-and-dry for me, and my desire to right wrongs is that much more clear to me.’”
Voight
Voight’s son was shot and killed in the Season 3 finale. Following the attack, the policeman shot his son’s killer. It is possible that his rage may cost him a possible promotion as the head of intelligence.
People in the unit will have to keep an eye on him while he goes through his grieving process.
“It’s a different side of Voight, because ain’t no way he can lose a son and not have that affect him,” Olmstead says.
Burgess and Roman
Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) had to put their relationship on hold while she stays in Chicago to pursue her career as a cop. He decided to move to San Diego and she stayed even though he wanted her to come with him.
Will they meet again? Or will Burgess move on with someone else in the Windy City?
Olmstead revealed that she will look for a new partner next season.
Yet, she may not be ready for a new relationship. Things ended badly with her and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). She was still processing that break up even when she was with Roman. Maybe she just needs a break from dating and take this time to focus on herself.
Lindsay and Halstead
Erin Lindsay (Sophie Bush) and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) are taking their relationship to the next level and will be moving in together. Will they stay strong after learning each other’s living habits?
Burgess New Partner
Burgess will get a new partner now that Roman has left the city. A photo of the new partner was posted to the “Chicago P.D.” Facebook Page.
“The girl power is strong with these two. Get excited to meet Burgess's new partner on September 21 when Chicago PD Season 4 premieres!” the photo caption reads.
