In 1968, the team managed 10th place with just one win and two defeats. Four years later, it was 11th place, thanks to a woeful goal differential. In 1980, the team got 11th again and in 1992 Colombia finished a dreadful 14th with one draw and two defeats.

That said, this Colombia side has not lost in the lead-up to the tournament, winning two of six games and drawing the other four.

Sweden's record at the Olympics is not much better, but the team did place higher than Colombia ever has in its one appearance. That came in 1992 when the team managed to reach the quarterfinals and finish seventh in Spain.
