The Tuesday, August 9, Mega Millions jackpot now tops $38 million after there were no grand prize winners in last Friday's $30 million drawing. Make sure to check back at this page for a posting of Tuesday's winning numbers in real time at 11 p.m. EST.

In the latest drawing, a single game winner will have the option of collecting on a cash option, onetime payment of $26 million. The winning numbers in the August 5 game were 5, 18, 28, 54 and 74. The Gold Mega Ball number was 6 and the megaplier was 4.

Three $1 Million Dollar Winners

Three players from California, Georgia and New York all matched the five white ball numbers needed to win prizes of $1 million each.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; the Mega ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 259 million.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $1 each. You can watch a live stream of Tuesday night's draw.

Powerball at $67 Million 

Meanwhile, the August 10, Powerball jackpot has jumped to $67 million with a cash option payment of $46.5 after no one matched last Saturday's $52 million jackpot winning digits.

The winning numbers were 20, 33, 36, 47 and 52. The Red Powerball Power number was 12 and the Power Play number was 3.

Two players matched all five white ball numbers to earn $1 million prizes. The winning tickets were sold in California and Wisconsin.

Overall, there were 599, 714 winners of at least $4 each.
