China PR vs. Germany Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for Olympics 2016 As Women's Soccer Teams Face Off
China PR's female soccer team takes on Germany's in the quarterfinals of the Olympics 2016 on Friday.
China overcame a tricky group with four points and a second-place finish that helped it avoid a date with the United States in the quarterfinals. This got off to a tricky start as the team lost 3-0 to host nation Brazil in its opener. However, China PR bounced back with a 2-0 win over South Africa in the second game of the tournament. The final game with Sweden was a conservative effort, a 0-0 draw that secured second place for the Chinese and an opportunity to move on to the quarterfinals.
Germany also finished group play with four points. The team opened its tournament with a 6-1 win over Zimbabwe before drawing 2-2 with Australia. Unfortunately the team blew a chance to win the group in its final game against Canada, losing 2-1.
Prediction
This is a relatively even matchup between two sides that can go the distance given their luck with being on this side of the bracket. Look for China to win 2-1.
