Croatia vs. Turkey Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
Turkey and Croatia kick off their UEFA World Cup Qualifier on Monday.
The two sides met in the Euro 2016 in a game that ended 1-0 in favor of Croatia. Luka Modric famously scored a wonder goal in that match, a volley from outside the penalty area that launched the Croatians on their way to winning the group before being ousted by Portugal in the round of 16. Of course Turkey faltered in the Euro with just one win from three games.
Both sides know the importance of this game as they have to navigate arguably the toughest group in the entire qualifiers. Iceland was tremendous in the Euro and will be a quick favorite to win a top two spot in the group. The Ukraine has been disappointing but will still present a challenge. Finland and Kosovo are likely the teams that least concern Turkey and Croatia.
Prediction
Croatia is the runaway favorite of this contest and should manage a 2-1 win at home.
