Dynamo Kiev and Napoli meet in the group stage of the Champions League 2016-17.

Both sides qualified for the tournament thanks to their finish in their respective leagues. Napoli was the second best side in Italy while Dynamo Kiev won the Ukrainian league to earn its place in the tournament.

Napoli's last appearance in the UCL came in 2013-14 when it finished third in a group that included Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal. That year, the team finished level with both of those sides but wound up losing on goal differential as all three sides that beaten one another and accrued 12 points throughout the group stage.

Dynamo Kiev was in the tournament last season when it finished second in Group G behind Chelsea and set up a second-round date with Manchester City; the English side won 3-1 on aggregate in that round.

Prediction

This should be a rather contentious affair with the home side unlikely to bend all that much. Napoli should still come away with a 1-0 win when all is said and done.
