Porto vs. Copenhagen Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for Champions League 2016-17
Porto and Copenhagen meet in the Champions League 2016-17 group stage on Wednesday.
Porto is coming off a disappointing Champions League campaign last season that saw the team finish third in a group that featured Chelsea, Dynamo Kyiv and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The team managed three wins, one draw and two defeats but still finished behind Chelsea and Dynamo Kyev despite getting an early lead in the group.
A lot of that failure comes down on the shoulders of goalie Iker Casillas who made one two many mistakes in the group stage that wound up costing his team. The Portuguese keeper will get a chance at redemption this season, though his star is clearly waning.
Porto wound up eliminated by Borussia Dortmund in the round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League.
Copenhagen last participated in the UCL in 2013-14 when it finished fourth in a group that included Real Madrid, Galatasaray and Juventus.
Prediction
Porto is the favorite to win this group. Anything less than a second place finish will be considered a massive failure. Porto wins this game 2-0.
Start Time, Date, Location
Porto and Copenhagen kick off at 2:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.
