'NCIS' Season 14, Episode 1 Spoilers & Premiere Date – Tense Moments With Gibbs Going Through Changes; Esposito, Vaderrama Make Debuts
It's a time of change for Gibbs (Mark Harmon) on the season 14 "Rogue" entitled premiere of "NCIS" Wednesday night, September 20. TV Line reports the crew's top man will be taking on FBI Special Agent Tobias C. Fornell (Joe Spano) as a roommate this season.
Tense Moments
Gibbs and Fornell's relationship goes back quite some time and the two men share much in common, including the horrifying experience of having been shot in the line of duty. Despite their elongated history and shared experiences, it's not long before the two men find themselves rubbing one another the wrong way.
"Be prepared, because it's some wonderful, light, funny stuff," showrunner Gary Glasberg recently shared.
In the midst of all that, Gibbs also finds himself struggling to settle on what he deems a suitable replacement for the departed DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly).
Esposito, Vaderrama Make Debut
After rejecting a number of applicants she sent to him, Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) comes calling and wants to know why no one seems good enough for the crew chief.
Ultimately, all the back and forth will result in her formally joining the crew, where the former Federal Law Enforcement Training Center instructor instantly butts heads with Gibbs.
The season premiere also marks the debut of undercover agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), who also joins the cast as a Season 14 regular. In the season opener, Gibbs and the crew solve a case with Torres at the center after he mysteriously returns from an extended undercover assignment.
Over the first several episodes, MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) is also slated to be officially added to the team. He assisted Gibbs in capturing a rogue agent last season.
"NCIS" Season 14 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
