Taylor Swift has fallen victim to an online prank this week, but it wasn't anything like Punk'd, and it involved a "creepy 39-year-old."

According to MSN Music, the Grammy Award-winning singer hosted an online contest together with Kiss 108 FM, a Massachusetts radio station. The competition required people to vote for the person they best think should meet T. Swift. However, the contest was cancelled after pranksters swayed the votes to let an old man win the meet and greet.

The report noted that users of Reddit and 4chan.org teamed up to cause the prank, rigging the competition by allowing a fictitious character to win the contest. The pranksters swayed people to vote for a 39-year-old man who went by the name Charles Z. He was described as a "creepy 39-year-old [who] would like to crush all those little girls' dreams," noted The Inquistr.

Learning about the online prank, Kiss 108 FM canceled the contest and released this statement:

"Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the Taylor Swift's Biggest Fan contest has been compromised. In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated. We apologize to all of our loyal listeners who have participated."

On a Twitter account named after Charles Z, the man appears to be heartbroken by the incident.

"I don't care about the #RoyalBaby because I'm not a redcoat. I do care about bedazzled pogo stick, @taylorswift13 and justice," the account tweeted.

"I just Googled Selena Gomez. She seems nice and all, but @taylorswift13 is the Animal House poster on the wall in the dorm room of my heart," another tweet from the account read.

It is still uncertain whether the account is from a real Charles Z or is also created for the fictitious character and contest winner.
