Nintendo NX is now officially called the 'Nintendo Switch’
Nintendo finally revealed the NX details, specs and updates. The game console is officially named as Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo released the Switch preview trailer this week. As a usual console feature, Nintendo Switch comes in both single and multiplayer game modes.
Nintendo stated that "the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles."
This so-called NX (Nintendo Switch) will be released on March 2017. There aren't much details about its price yet but a Reddit leak posted an estimate of the Switch at $299 on its base model. Same as the Wii U Deluxe, ordering in bundles gives you the price of $399. It also added that demo units wil be available in stores by February.
For more of its details and specs, this extremely attractive gadget comes as both a handheld device and a home console. It can be described as a hybrid form of the Wii U's Gamepad.
In another way, you can think of it as the Nvidia Shield tablet. It's a tablet containing all of its hardware. Its docking system can then be easily plugged on your TV, switching the device from a classic home console to a handheld gaming sensation.
The console offers flexibility and ease of use as it has two 'Joy-Con' controllers attached on the tablet's both ends. These are removable anytime you want. Unlike in Wii U, you won't have any dual screen experience here.
Many best and extremely popular games in the gaming arena are available in the Switch. The preview shows the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for starters. It also includes a Super Mario game, PC Advisor reported.
Other games shown in the preview are the Monster Hunter, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Skyrim, and NBA.
It even announced its partners on a long list. As Nintendo said, "Developers can design their games supporting a variety of play styles, which gives gamers the freedom to choose an experience that best suits them."
