How good is Google Pixel's camera compared to its competitors?
Google entered in the high end market phone market this month with its flagship phone Google Pixel. The phone has everything that can give a huge competition to rivals like Samsung Galaxy S7 and AppleiPhone 7. This Android flagship has gorgeous display, impressive build in quality design, and a powerful processor.
Cameras hold a major importance in high-end phones and the Google Pixel is no exception. Pixel features two cameras: 12.3-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. But is it good enough to beat both the S7 and iPhone 7?
During the launch, Google claims that this is the best camera phone we have made so far. Their claim seems to be right, with excellent low-light images, sharpness, exposure and scarily-fast camera speed. The camera also has features like smartburst and lens blur.
Google's work on cameras seem to be promising and Pixel is receiving positive reviews from tech sites because of it.
According to Engadget, the camera can capture good low light picture with 1.55-micron pixel size. The shutter is also impressive during action shots.
Pixel can capture 4K video at 30 frames per second. iPhone 7 and Samsung S7 can also capture 4K videos.
High Snobiety reported that the Pixel's HDR mode can produce balanced imagery with many details and its image is far grainier, while image of iPhone is pretty smooth.
According to Forbes, Pixel's photos are more colorful compared to the iPhone7 Plus. Pixel's flash provides a more even lighting.
S7 also has a close competition with Pixel. In low-light imaging, both are at par with each other while in camera interface, the S7 looks promising with its shooting modes, customizations and full manual controls.
So, in the end Pixel has one of the best camera in any phone available in the market. Pixel's camera is about natural colors, sharper image and low-lighting images.
