The US tech giant's legendary MacBook Pro series laptop has maintained a legacy with its specs, performance and overall looks, as it holds the largest market share in the high-end laptop market segment.
Apple has launched two MacBook Pro models: 13-inch and 15-inch. Both are launched with a bunch of new features:
The most-highlighted feature in the new MacBook Pro models is the touch bar, which provides customizable, app-specific virtual buttons. It can adapt whatever program you might be using at the time, so long as the program supports the bar. According to Popular Mechanics, the touch bar is the first of its kind.
According to c|net, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will cost USD 2,399, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro will cost USD 1,900.
These MacBook Pro models come with a larger touch pad and are both lighter than their predecessors. Both models have four Thunderbolt ports that has the same shape as the USB Type-C ports. Both the keyboard and touchpad got reinvented, with the body still made of aluminum like its predecessors.
Unlike the previous-model MacBook Pro, the new versions no longer feature MagSafe 2 charging ports, HDMI ports, and SD card slots - all to make them much slimmer compared to others.
In terms of display, the newer version has an upper hand in terms of resolution but overall, both previous and recent models are alike in terms of display.
Further reports say that the new MacBook Pro models now have a faster RAM with 2,133 MHz, and storage speed has been expanded to 3.1 GB per second.
