They may be going through a rocky family scandal right now, but Beyoncé and Jay-Z have smoothly landed on top of BET's 2014 list of nominees for this year's BET awards.

Jay -Z is nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and is nominated for Video of the Year alongside his wife. He is also nominated twice for Best Collaboration.
Other artists on the nominee list include Drake with three nominations and Pharrell Williams with nominations for his "Blurred Lines" collaboration with Robin Thicke, and his own song "Happy" in the Video of the Year category.
"This year's nominees represent the best of the culture," said Stephen Hill, BET's President of Music Programming and Specials via a press release obtained by Billboard. "It's great to see our talented new artist's right alongside our more beloved ones with long careers. We appreciate our BET Awards nomination committee, over 300 strong, for their efforts and congratulate all the nominees."
The announcement of the award show's host took place on Wednesday night at BET's "106 & Park" television show.
On the show, it was announced that comedian Chris Rock will take the hosting title at this year's ceremony set to air live at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m.
Soon after the news, Rock released a statement that read: "I watch the BET Awards every year. It's one of my favorite award shows combining people from movies, sports, TV and music. Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room?! The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show now it's my turn."
