Lakers' Mozgov Missed Game vs. Hawks Due to Eye Injury
Timofey Mozgov missed the game between Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday due to an eye injury he had during the game against Indiana Pacers.
Mozgov, Lakers center of Russia has undergone left eye CT scan to check if he got orbital fracture from the foul given to him by Indiana Pacer's Lavoy Allen. The team would also look for other injury Mozgov possibly got. It can be recalled that he had also suffered from laceration in the mouth before his eye contusion. Pacers guard Jeff Teague unintentionally awarded him an elbow during that game which Lakers Coach Luke Walton called a "heavyweight fight". He received four stitches to close the gap in his lip, according to Los Angeles Daily News.
Rookie Ivika Zubac of Croatia filled his vacancy. He would match against Hawks veteran player Dwight Howard.

Hawks lost against Lakers with 123-116 score in Philips arena on Wednesday night. The game was led by Lou Williams for LA Lakers garnered 18 points in the entire game,16 of that were in the fourth quarter. For Atlanta Hawks Dwight Howard led the team with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Second biggest contributor for Hawk was Tim Hardaway Jr. with 26 points including five 3-pointers.
Lakers shot 14 out of 23 throws from the field in the third quarter which gave them 39 points. Poor defense is the key of Hawks loss. Tim Hardaway Jr. 26 points was not helped from any of his backcourt mates. This was unmatched with Lakers four guard rotation of D'Angelo Russel, Nick Young, Lou Williams, and Jordan Clarkson combined for 74 to lead Lakers, ESPN reported.
For the first time this season, Hawk was outrebounded as the Lakers held a 41-37 advantage. This was also Hawks' first loss. Next game Hawks will be matched against Washington Wizard on Friday night.
