Adidas is set to introduce a brand-new shoe model named "Ultra Boost Uncaged Parley." The unique product is manufactured from ocean plastic. The German sportswear brand made these shoes in partnership with Parley, an environmental group dedicated to making oceans pollution-free.

The idea of making shoes with recycled ocean waste is absolutely exceptional. Last year, Adidas revealed a 3D-printed pair of recycled ocean waste sneakers and now, they're headed towards selling them. According to The Verge, Adidas stores will sell around 7,000 pairs with a price tag of USD 220 per pair. Every pair is made out of 11 plastic bottles - the upper part consists recycled polyester and waste plastic, while the rest is made out of recycled material extracted from Maldives.

As per Engadget, the shoes have an Adidas x Parley label embedded with an NFC chip, which gives the wearer information regarding the joint venture.

The joint venture has taken care of every measure to make these new environmentally-conscious shoes worthy for everyone. These shoes will soon be available to customers as stores stock themselves with more pairs. Adidas is planning to make the pair accessible to as many stores as possible.

The shoe is inspired from Adidas's "Ultraboost Uncaged design", a series best known for running-meets-lifestyle shoes. The pair marks a soft Primeknit upper built with 95% ocean plastic, Engadget has reported.

Meanwhile, Nike has also unveiled environmental jerseys for Football clubs Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. The kits feature water-based prints made out of ocean plastic. They're priced at USD 100 and will be available from November 4th for Bayern and 24th for Madrid.

Indeed, the new shoes should inspire more clothing companies to take steps towards better directions in terms of manufacturing environment-friendly products.
