Shakira has big things planned for the future, but they do not include "The Voice."

On Tuesday, Shakira said that she does not plan on coming back to NBC's reality singing competition show, "The Voice."

"For now, no, I don't have any plans of coming back," Shakira told reporters, Billboard reports. "This was always a temporary thing for me to do."

Shakira become a coach on "The Voice" in Season 4 as a substitute for Christian Aguilera. The two switched off for Season 5, and Shakira came back for current Season 6. Aguilera's new substitute will be Gwen Stefani, who will replace Aguilera next season. Aguilera will return for Season 8.

Shakira did not completely close the door on "The Voice," however. "You never know," she said of her possible return to the series.

"I never thought I would be on a show like this one, but the nature of the show, you know, the fact that we're not just judges here, we're coaches, we're helping new talent flourish, made me change my mind and made me say yes to being here," she continued. "Honestly, I've had a blast. I love the show. I love the people on the show, the producers, the fellow coaches. It's been real fun."

Still, the "Dare (La La La)" singer must return to what brought her fame in the first place.

"... I have to go on with my life as an artist," Shakira explained. "I'm not really a TV celebrity, and I have to prep a tour and also do other stuff, like being a mother."

Leaving "The Voice" should give the Colombian superstar a chance to go on tour again, but she admits the details have not been worked out yet.

"Soon you will have some news on the tour, but right now I cant say much," she said smiling. "I'm still [figuring] that out."

Shakira will also perform at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, which airs live from MGM Grand Garden Arena on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT on May 18.

The finals for "The Voice" air May 19 and May 20 on NBC.
