On November 25, 2016, Andy Cohen revealed a shocking update about his skin woes.

An American talk show and radio host confirmed that he was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year.  A day after Thanksgiving, the "Memoir" author thanked Kelly Ripa for being a concern to him and for advising to visit a dermatologist during his interview on Live With Kelly.

Their conversation began when Andy say a word about the black dot on his bottom lip and if Kelly has noticed it during the party for Anderson Cooper's mom in April. The host of morning talk show replied to the statement of Andy that she never observe any black dot on his bottom lips especially her husband.

According to People, Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos always reminding their friend to have a checkup because they are aware of Andy's health. But Andy just refused on what his friends advises him to do. Kelly acknowledges that she is diligent to her friend reminding Andy to see a dermatologist to have tested the spot.

For being such a good friend of Kelly and her prompting reminders to her fellow talk show host, Andy went to see a doctor and saved him from melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer. Andy has been advised to stay away from the sun to prevent the disease from spreading. In the end, he was very thankful that the spot was totally removed, and that it wouldn't have been possible if not for Kelly, according to US Magazine.

Cohen proudly added his statement saying that his lips are completely healed very well. Kelly replied that the money she is spent visiting dermatologist was for their common good. She also added that she is a dermatologist but an amateur because it was her third time to picked out skin cancer on one of her friends.
