Samsung has been on it full force in gearing up for its lineup of mobile devices next year. With this, it was recently reported that the Samsung Galaxy A 2016 series will get the Android Nougat update very soon.

Samsung fans will really take it as a good news. Although, the South Korean company has not yet released the official list of devices who will have the said update, News 18 reported.

In the mean time even if there are no official release yet, it does not mean that Samsung will not release the OS to its upcoming devices. According to International Business Times, Samsung will not just roll out the firmware update to its newer flagship, but also for the Galaxy A-series 2016. Moreover, Samsung's popular smartphones such as Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy A8 (2016), Galaxy A9 (2016) and Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) will get the Android 7.0 Nougat; however, it may take up to the second quarter of 2017 to completely release this update.

Moreover, Samsung is also set to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 edge+, S6 Active, S6 Ironman edition, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Active, S7 Batman edition, and S7 Olympic edition.

The Galaxy devices such as C, J and On series are not yet included in the list but will likely get the cut for Google's latest Android OS, though no specific dates yet was hinted.

Meanwhil, in the past month, we can recall a major issue which had hurt the sales of Samsung big time. There was a defect on the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, wherein many Samsung consumers were so much affected by this issue, leading people to start posting their bad experiences with the mobile handset's exploding battery. There was a total recall and refund done by the company to make up for the damages.
