Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor To Possible Fight On UFC
Dana White, president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) thought that there was any kind of realistic possibility of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fighting each other. Back in May, White said that there was no chance to have a potential fight that will happen between them. However, both teams have kept on discussing how the possible fight will occur.
Meanwhile, COMPLEX SPORTS stated that Dana White killed the rumors regarding on Mayweather/McGregor possible fight recently. However, during his appearance on Fox Sports Live, White opens up about Mayweather and McGregor story back by relaying something that advised to him by 50 Cent. White said, it happened after the UFC 205 card, and went outside to eat in New York.
After the chatting, 50 asked him regardless of whether McGregor will truly want to fight Mayweather. Unfortunately, White quickly dismissed the question and told him that the said fight will not go to happen because for him Floyd does not need to fight Conor. However, 50 reacted by saying Mayweather is deadly serious about fighting McGregor wanted to make it happen as soon as possible.
According to The Washington Post, McGregor was under the contract with UFC, White can summon that while suppressing any speculations about the boxing match up with Mayweather, yet he declined to do so. In the meantime, White promptly took after 50 Cent narratives by taking note of how long Mayweather will take to settle on a fight with his fellow boxer, Manny Pacquiao.
White added that the fight between Mayweather and McGregor is no doubt will happen. He said that he gave McGregor the decision and that he picked to give up the featherweight title. McGregor's coach said that his contender was very disappointed at being compelled to surrender one of his crowns, and calling it 'a very messy arrangement of conditions.'
However, McGregor was upset on the arrangements but for White he understands McGregor. He won it, but that was the deal. White drop the newsworthy rumor when he told FS1 that McGregor will be taking 10 months off and will not fight before May.
