However, the beloved book-adaptation is supposedly to release its fifth film with Divergent: Ascendant and reports coming indicate that it is a television series which didn't fond well for Shailene Woodley. Further, the project may get cancelled since many are reported to lose interest in doing such.
According to Game N Guide, Theo James, playing Four, and Shailene Woodley, playing Tris, have gone off road with their friendship. This is due to the reported jealousy of Ruth Kearney, girlfriend of James, to the closeness of the on-screen couple. The rumor was said to be true as James is keeping his distance with Woodley or the other way around. Nonetheless, making "Ascendant" will prove to be more difficult for the two.
Further to the news, MovieNewsGuide, the Divergent cast members are leaving the set. Actors Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort have been rumored to have lost their interest in making the next project since it will be a TV series after Allegiant's not-so-good release and revenue in the market.
Shailene Woodley expressed her distaste for the television series as she said "I didn't sign up to be in a television show. Out of respect to the studio and everyone involved, they may have changed their mind and may be doing something different, but I'm not necessarily interested in doing a television show."
This may have prompt Theo James to share plans on giving up his role for the series that will eventually destroy plans since the producers will be in a difficult time of finding another actor that will suit up for the role of Four.
Regardless of these information, fans should be excited to see the two again as on-screen couple for the last installment in the series.
