"Street Fighter 5" is set to launch new characters with its 2017 Character Pass starting with the fan-favorite demon god, Akuma. The fighter first appeared in "Street Fighter 2" but CapCom opted to develop his character for the fifth installment.

With the much awaited "Street Fighter 5" character launch of Akuma in December 20, Capcom Community Manager Matt Edwards obliged gamers with its gameplay walkthrough. Anticipating fans can view Akuma's combos and special moves in the video below.

The 2017 "Street Fighter 5" Character Pass will cost $30 that will also unlock the seven default costumes of each of the six players, reported ShackNews. The five remaining characters of the game, however, are yet to be revealed but fans are to expect new faces. As further reported, the upcoming characters are all debutante in "Street Fighter 5."

Gamers also had a first gameplay experience of "Street Fighter 5" during last week's PlayStation Experience wherein they were able to play Akuma. In a report of EventHubs, Ryan Ramirez who is also known as PG|Filipino Champ gave out his opinion of Akuma.

"The game feels a lot slower and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing," Champ said and continued, "But I think it's better for the general public if it's slightly slower in general. It's easier to pay attention if you're a spectator. So in a sense, it's not so bad."

"As far as Akuma's concerned, I think Akuma is very promising," he further offered, but also criticizes the slow frame size of fighting scenes and the gameplay in general. "His normals and walk speed are actually very slow so I could see him getting outclassed by other Shotos like Ken and Ryo."

Champ, however, ended that Akuma's character is very interesting. As fans of "Street Fighter" know so well, that Akuma remains to be one of the strongest fighters in the game's universe.

Play and experience Akuma of "Street Fighter 5" during the holidays. Stay tuned for more exciting updates
