Pokemon Go Updates: Double XP, “Shiny” Pokemon Possibly Mewtwo, Zapdos or Articuno & More
Pokemon Go players will have a lot to look forward to this holiday season as Niantic Labs prepares to release new rewards early this week. In an exclusive report, a huge Pokemon Go update with awesome rewards for players are set to be released Monday, December 12 starting with 100 new Pokemons added to the game. There is also a surprise unidentified "shiny" Pokemon to become available.
Ditto was the first monster to be added after the game was released in July. Soon there will be more creatures to catch and more players to try the game. Forbes reported this exciting news and said that there is likely to be more Gen 2 monsters to be added to Pokemon Go. These could come one at a time or all at once.
Niantic also plans to improve player customizations with more costumes, new Pokemon gender and even a Santa hat for Pikachu. A rumored rare sparkly Pokemon is also on the way and players can't seem to decide which legendary Pokemon could be it.
Meanwhile, Kansas City Star also revealed that players could also expect double XP amounts for catching and evolving monsters. The report further speculated the said "shiny" Pokemon to watch out for and said that it could be Mewtwo or the legendaries like Articuno, Zapdos or Moltres.
Possibilities of trading with other players and player vs. player battles are also rumored. Niantic said that they have new experiences and in-game events to finish the year. They are unable to tell the details but told fans to check their social media channels on December 12 for updates.
Huge player rewards are also up on December 12. Pokemon Go players can visit Boost, Sprint and Sprint at Radioshack to recharge their devices, collect in-game rewards and items, get data plans and battle with different characters.
