According to LatinosHealth, "Two of Apple's AirPod Patent Filings Surfaced this Week at the US Patent Office Apple promised for a path-breaking revolutionary technology which will change the outlook on how to use headphones with its new Apple AirPods."

Although the Airpods had a delay on its sales, all the new technological feats - with its unique features would "forever change the way we use headphones", as Apple stated.

This new innovation is self-activating, where Airpods turns on and connects to your Apple products such as iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac. Your music plays automatically as you put it in your ears and pauses when you take it out. By double-tapping the Airpod, you can activate Siri, without using your iPhone.

Within these Airpods is the custom-designed Apple W1 chip. This chip produces all the efficiency of wireless connection and improved sounds. Whenever you're talking, a voice accelerometer recognizes when you're speaking and filter out external noise and focus on the sound of your voice. Also, whenever you're listening, optical sensors and motion accelerometers work with the W1 chip to automatically control the audio and engage the microphone.

You could have 5 hours of listening experience on one charge. Its charging case holds multiple charges for more than 24 hours of listening time. With 15 minutes in the case for charging time, you could have 3 hours of listening time.

Inside Airpod's microphones is what Jony Ive said, a beamforming.

On a post from PatentlyApple, "Beamforming isn't mentioned in either of Apple's patent applications on their AirPods. For that aspect of their invention, you'll have to review a patent that was granted to Apple last Tuesday titled "Detecting the positions of earbuds and use of these positions for selecting the optimum microphones in a headset." Even though that patent relates to Apple's wired EarPods, the beamforming technology discussed in that patent also applies to Apple's AirPods."
