Pokemon Go Updates: 100 New Pokemons (152 to 251); Creatures with Genders Hints Breeding
Niantic Labs has just released a major update for Pokemon Go and this is more than just a rare creature to collect or more XP points. Pokemon Go players can get as many as 100 monsters and these are all Gen 2 creatures with numbers 152 to 251. Creatures will also be classified into gender hinting that breeding could be possible in the future. All these are part of a major overhaul of the game and it starts Monday, Dec.12.
100 more creatures would mean more Pokemons to collect. Rumors also say that aside from capturing and taming these creatures out in the open, players can also look forward to trading their Pokemons and even battling other players.
GAMENGUIDE reported that aside from the mentioned updates, a new "shiny" Pokemon will be added to the game. But contrary to rumors that shiny creatures are legendary monsters like Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos, "shiny" or "sparkly" Pokemons are simply creatures that are more powerful than their regular counterparts. Aside from having twice the power, shiny Pokemons are also ideal for breeding and battling however are very hard to find.
Breeding will also be a part of a Pokemon tamer's job description which is why creature genders will also be included in the update. And of course there are more customization options for trainers and additional costumes for Pokemons like a festive Santa hat. Purchasable items and upgrades are also available.
Value Walk also has the low down on the latest Pokemon Go update and it reported that Niantic has partnered with Starbucks to promote the game. The popular coffee chain is even offering a Pokemon Go Frappuccino but it has to be unlocked in the game itself.
Starbucks stores will become PokeStops and gyms where avid players can stop by and play. It was not yet confirmed though if all Starbucks outlets will be a part of this promotion or for how long will this promo last. All is known is that there is more to come for Pokemon Go for the holidays.
