Broadcast Video live with new Twitter App! Find out here!
Twitter brings a new feature in its app for the iOS and Android users to broadcast live video. The existing Twitter app will require a single update to get the live feature incorporated within it.
According to RT, Twitter users are able to stream videos with the help of Periscope app. One can have the facility without installing Periscope or create an account, till now social media giant Facebook was one step ahead with its live video feature, now Twitter has upgraded itself to be in line.
The microblogging site thinks that live moments from the life will bring expression, vitality, and exuberance in the connection between people. It will make people's expressions more eloquent.
To go live on Twitter, one has to tap the 'tweet' button and then tap the 'live' button on the new tweet box. Followers will see the video update on their timeline. They will have to tap in to comment or appreciate by sending hearts. For those who have used Periscope before, it will be all the same thing.
Now the question comes what will happen with Periscope? Periscope will continue developing its app, says senior engineering manager Sara Haider. She puts that all Periscope users do not use Twitter on a regular basis. She also adds that people need to get encouraged for making videos and they should be told that their voice matters a lot. But it is true that after Facebook initiated the live video feature, the standalone video social networking platforms are losing their value to a great extent. Taking this into consideration, Periscope getting integrated with Twitter will be beneficial for no doubt.
The live video is going to become more meaningful in Twitter, the connections being more genuine compared to those of Facebook, reports The Verge. It is more interesting to see the video from someone whom one is following, rather than from some insignificant acquaintance.
