Game of Thrones 7 spoilers: Cersei, Sansa to go deeper in the dark side; GOT spin off series coming soon
As fans wait anxiously for season 7 of Games of Thrones, Lena Heady who plays Cersei Lannister provides a nit bit of the upcoming season. She shared photos of herself and "The Mountain".
As per Express, The 43-year-old actress posted on Twitter couple of pictures comparing her little palms and feet with those of co-star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson's, who plays The Mountain.
It seems like Lena and Hafþór has much more scenes to shoot this season than ever before. That means Cersei and Mountain will have a bigger story arc than previous seasons.
Speaking of Cersei Lannister, it seems like there is no hope for her redemption. Apparently actress Lena Headey admitted at her character going into even darker place in an interview with Mashable.
When asked whether Cersei will get to redeem herself before the series ends, Lena said no, as it will redeeming herself or making any type of amends will ruin Cersei's further plans of being in power always.
Moving on to Winterfell, last season saw Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) finally getting her revenge over Ramsey Bolton with the help of Jon Snow. Now Sophie has revealed that her character will go deeper into the darkness for more power and vengeance.
During her recent interview with Vulture, the actress admitted that Sansa may be hungry for more power in season 7. During the Battle of the Bastards, Jon Snow's win depended a lot on Sansa's crucial entry with the Eyrie's army.
But she was denied the recognition and Jon was raised to the power as "King of the North". Now Sophie Turner teases the viewers that Sansa will be in for a power trip and may consider taking up Petyr Baelish's offer.
Meanwhile, fans will love to hear that the Game of Thrones spin-off that was promised is under development right now. HBO has confirmed that the prequel to the events of GOT is what the spin off will be all about.
"It certainly has not escaped [HBO president of programming] Casey [Bloys] and myself that there might be some brand extension [for GOT] that would be exciting. It certainly has not escaped the producers," HBO CEO Richard Plepler, told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Right now we're focused on finishing the series with the kind of energy and excitement that everyone has come to expect. We're going to do that while at the same time parallel processing very embryonic stages of other possibilities."
Game of Thrones season 7 is set to premiere in summer 2017. It is expected that it will be the released later than the assigned month of April-May due to delay in production.
