Go Pro Hero 6 release date & update: Successor to have improved battery life than Go Pro 5; Potential release date revealed [Rumor]
Go Pro Hero 5 action camera was one of the most sought after purchases of 2016. As a result, the fans are already speculating about Go Pro Hero 6 and expecting it to be better than its previous version. But the big question is when will the next action camera hit the market.
Since the latest iteration released in October this year, the company may not have any plans to create Go Pro Hero 6. However, the tech enthusiasts are hopeful that its next iteration will arrive sooner than anticipated. Looking at the phenomenal success of Go Pro Hero 5, it is anybody's guess that the next version may be out anytime soon.
Considering the successful launch of Hero 5, reports indicate that the company may want to benefit from the momentum and come up with the upgraded model next year.
Meanwhile, the report also suggests that even though the latest camera is packed with many exciting additions and features, the company may focus on improving the next version and fix the issues reported in Go Pro Hero 5.
According to Christian Times, the biggest challenge with the latest Go Pro 5 is its battery life, especially when it is using Wi-Fi and GPS systems. Another reported issue with the latest action camera is its unresponsiveness to voice commands and touch sensitivity.
Since Go Pro 5 is just a latest addition to the company's list of action cameras, there is little to no information about its successor. However, Go Pro Hero 6 is likely to release sometime next year and will probably fix all the issues that the current action camera is facing.
In a report by Huffington Post, it was revealed that the company is undergoing financial losses and is hoping that Go Pro 5 will turn in some profits. If the anticipation is indeed true, then the company may release its Hero 6 sometime next year.
If the release pattern is any indication, should there ever be a Go Pro 6, it will probably launch in the last quarter of 2017. Nothing has been officially released by the company yet.
