If you managed to watch any blockbuster film in the last decade, there's a huge chance that you've heard some of the music of famous composer Michael Giacchino. The Oscar-winning composer has put together quite a remarkable résumé throughout his career, contributing his amazing composing talents towards Star Trek's Kelvin Time, a variety of Pixar films, Doctor Strange, and the recent Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film.

Giacchino's reputation

Giacchino has been in demand ever since in the movie-composing industry, and for good reason. He has been long known for crafting cues that ultimately set the tone for a scene that would immediately connect with the audience.

Giacchino's work on Rogue One was also very impressive, considering that, according to reports, he had just four weeks to fully complete the soundtrack. Afterward, he continues to line up some high-profile gigs, with upcoming movies War for the Planet of the Apes and Spider-Man: Homecoming showing on 2017, with him also composing for each movie's soundtrack.

Giacchino to compose for upcoming films

Rogue One wasn't the only time Giacchino worked on a classic sci-fi franchise best known for the themes of John Williams. Just last year, he was also the composer for the mega blockbuster film Jurassic World, which has an upcoming sequel on track for a 2018 release.

The upcoming Jurassic World 2 film is mixing things up quite a bit for its creative team with J.A. Bayona handling the follow-up. But there will be one constant thing between the two films; Giacchino will still be the one handling the music for the upcoming dinosaur adventure movie.

Giacchino on Jurassic World 2

With all things said, it will be quite interesting to see how Michael Giacchino approaches the Jurassic World sequel, which is said to have a darker one when compared to the first movie and is going to have themes of animal abuse and political undertones.
